"The Ambulance Guy"
|
Written by a veteran Boston EMS EMT the "Ambulance Guy" is a collection of stories based on daily life in an urban EMS system. While the names of the EMTs & Paramedics in each story may not be real, and certainly no patient information is revealed, the situations and events described could take place at any ambulance service in the world. The articles presented here first appear in the Pax Centurion, the newspaper published bi-monthly by the Boston Police Patrolman's Association. Boston's EMTs and Paramedics are members of the B.P.P.A. Follow these links, Boston E.M.S. and B.P.P.A. for more info., the B.P.P.A. site has an on-line version of the Pax Centurion. The stories are written with insight and humor and should be required reading for anyone who works or thinks they would like to work on an ambulance. I am pleased to be able to continue to present these stories here. Save this page to your favorites and check back for new stories from the streets by the "Ambulance Guy".
